Open Positions

.NET Developer (Posted September 12, 2017)

Background Information

Do you have a passion for building .NET web applications that are used for the greater good? Do you love wearing multiple hats and have experience or want experience working on all phases of design and development? Do you consider yourself a data geek and care equally about the purpose of the data being collected as well as the application itself?

Professional Data Analysts is a small statistical consulting company that works with departments of health in states across the country to evaluate public health programs. Our company is made up of statisticians, evaluators and data managers and now we’re looking to add a third developer. If you consider yourself to be a full-stack developer, or if you have primarily front-end experience and want to become a full-stack developer, you may be a good fit for this position. The main project you will be working on is a complex .NET application that uses cutting edge technologies for tracking health education courses, students, medication inventory and much more. You will also assist with maintaining and creating other .NET applications. The primary technologies that you should have experience with are ASP.Net MVC (using C#), SQL Server, Bootstrap, and Angular.js. We also use Jira and other modules of the Atlassian suite for managing our projects. You would start with small roles until you become familiar with the code base and business logic, and responsibilities will grow with your abilities. There will be opportunities to design and lead development of new features and modules within the next year and beyond.

The systems we build are used to collect data from various public health programs, report on their efficacy, and manage various facets of the programs. These programs are used to evaluate public health programs across the country and are used by thousands of individuals. We have a laidback and casual atmosphere and are looking for a passionate person who cares about coding, data, and making a difference.
